A thief on the run convinces a single father that he is his long-lost son. Complications ensue when he falls in love with his newfound "sister".

Based on the true events revolving around Beaver Island, Michigan and King James Strang--Elder Island, 1856. Peter Wiggenstein turned to the men of the five island families around him and warned: "Tell nothing of this" as the men all looked at the body of their former Reverend--gunned down just outside his own home--and a decision was made. They secretly buried the body on Graves Island, and the reign of America's first and only king ended; but for every end, there is always a new beginning, for an evil was born that night. Five families have always controlled the Island. Five families share the Island's fortune; five families share its curse.

This is Su Zhong's second VR project, which combines imagery, dance and installation to create a kind of dialogue. It is an attempt at a directorial approach that falls somewhere between film and theatre. All of the scenes are taken from the paintings of Edward Hopper.

Edward G is nothing like a film star; his life has been ordinary - until now. But he's just had a shattering experience.

Edward Hopper (1882 - 1967) is one of the best known and most admired of American artists. He found poetry in quiet, private moments set in unexceptional places, such as anonymous hotel rooms, diners (Nighthawks), gas stations, and traditional houses. Within these urban or small-town spaces, Hopper created iconic images of American life that present us with the possibility of narrative, but ultimately remain enigmatic. Rather than depict a specific story, they suggest a universal, shared experience. This film traces Hopper's varied influences, from French impressionism to the gangster films of the 1930s. The documentary uses archival photos and film, specially shot footage of locations painted by Hopper in New York and the New England coast, and interviews with artists Eric Fischl and Red Grooms, scholars, and curators. Narrated by Steve Martin
